The Swedish gaming operator Cherry officially announced it has revealed the release of XCaliber – a new gaming technology business-to-business that is totally independent. The new innovation is to provide Cherry with the opportunity to offer its high-quality technology solutions and gaming platform to partners and other gaming operators. This, on the other hand, will help Cherry consolidate its positions as one of the market’s innovators and will also result in assisting the company’s further growth.
The Chief Executive Officer of Cherry Fredrik Burvall commented on the launch, saying that the XCaliber would continue to support the quick development and further growth of the company in the market. He also revealed that now the operator was focused on five business areas that offered different revenue streams.
Over the last few years, Cherry has made large investments in order to make its in-house system offerings as well as its qualitative platform and improve them by adding the best and most reliable technologies. As a result, the company has been looking for ways to boost its chance to enter in a business partnership with other business-to-business companies in order to support its multi-brand strategy development.
The launch of XCaliber would provide Cherry with the chance to present its tracking software Omarsys on the market. In addition, it will be able to offer a reliable and flexible gaming platform, as well as its payments system to users.
The Swedish company also revealed that it plans to work in close collaboration with the already existing brands of its iGaming division in order to attract new customers’ attention. The headquarters of XCaliber are planned to be located in Malta and will be running under the leadership of the iGaming division’s Chief Executive Officer.
According to the Chief Executive of the iGaming division of Cherry, Jonas Wåhlander, the XCaliber’s release came as a very logical step of the further development of Cherry Group. He described the company’s tools, solutions and infrastructure as market-leading offerings and predicted that the new addition to the company’s operations would help the operator generate direct value to its brands.
The Chief Executive Officer of XCaliber Dario Arruda also commented on the release, saying that the project had costed Cherry a great deal of work and investments. However, Arruda explained that the release made perfect sense, as it would give Cherry’s partners access to the technology platform and services that had helped the company’s brands consolidate their presence on the market.
As Casino Guardian has already reported, only a couple of weeks ago, Cherry has officially received a gaming operating license from the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). Under the license, the company was provided with the chance to launch its casino and sports betting services in the UK market through its local subsidiary PlayCherry.
